What it is

You trade on a computer

Forty extensions, a cracked game, something from Discord. That is the machine holding your keys. Hood-OS gives you a different one: a whole operating system on a USB stick that boots clean, every time, and forgets you when you pull it out.

Nothing touches the host

The machine's own disk is never written to — not a file, not a log, not a swap page.

Clean every single boot

The system is rebuilt from scratch and checked against a fingerprint before it is allowed to run.

Your keys stay yours

Non-custodial. We never see a key, a seed or a balance. There is nowhere for us to see it from.

Immutable by construction

The OS lives on chain.
Nobody can edit it. Not even us.

It is not a file on a server that could be swapped out one quiet Tuesday. The system is published on chain, permanent and public, and your stick carries only a loader and a fingerprint.

Checked before it runs

Every byte is verified against a fingerprint pinned on the stick before the system starts. One wrong byte and it refuses to boot.

Nothing can rot it

No install to decay, no update that quietly changes what you trust, no writable copy sitting on a disk.

Nothing lives past power off

Everything runs in memory. Nothing carries over, so tomorrow's machine is the same clean system as today's.

Chain 4663 already added

pons runs most of what happens on Robinhood Chain, so that is where the browser opens. MetaMask ships installed, and one click adds chain 4663 with the right RPC and explorer — no hand-typed endpoints, which is exactly where people paste the wrong URL.

FAQ

Are you Robinhood?

No. Hood-OS is an independent project with no affiliation to Robinhood Markets, and no connection to the Robinhood app or the Robinhood Wallet. It is a Linux USB stick that happens to be set up for the chain.

Are you pons?

Also no. We point the browser at pons because that is where the chain's activity is. Independent, unaffiliated, not endorsed.

Will you ever ask for my seed phrase?

Never. Not on this site, not in the OS, not in a DM. Nobody legitimate ever will.

Do I need to be technical?

You need to plug in a USB stick and press a key at startup. If you have ever reinstalled Windows to make a game run, you are overqualified.

Is it actually secure or is that the pitch?

The honest version: a clean, throwaway machine removes the malware already living on your daily driver. It cannot stop you approving a bad transaction, and nothing can.
